One of Arvest Bank’s missions is to be a good corporate citizen, which means it is important to Arvest to partner with non-profits that work to improve the communities across Arvest’s footprint. Today, Arvest Bank is proud to announce it has partnered with the Armed Services YMCA of Lawton-Fort Sill for a brand new debit card honoring our service members!

The patriotic-themed debit card was designed by Emma Dinkel, a student at Flower Mound Elementary in Lawton, during a contest Arvest Bank put on during the ASYMCA’s annual Y-Fry in November 2017. Dinkel’s design was chosen by a panel of judges selected by ASYMCA Director Carol Herrick.

“When I look at Emma’s design, I instantly smile. Her use of color, the flag and the soldier all came together and really embodies the Armed Services mission and values,” Herrick said. “Children never cease to amaze me. Their natural talent and ability inspire me daily at the ASYMCA. Looking at things from their perspective is vital, which is why opportunities for them to express themselves are important. I am so grateful to Arvest for hosting this opportunity with us and for investing in these young artists.”

To celebrate the launch of the new debit card, Arvest Bank and the ASYMCA will recognize Emma during the ASYMCA’s Partner Member Breakfast on March 9. Arvest Bank has two employees on the board of the ASYMCA: Commercial Lender Mark Scott and Community & Business Relationship Advisor Gene Love.
